Dear Friends of Jack London,
Please join us for Jack Londonís 141st birthday celebration on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Our annual event will be held at Ramekins Culinary School and Inn located at 450 W. Spain Street in Sonoma. A no-host bar will open at 6 p.m. followed by a buffet dinner at 7 p.m. featuring the culinary delights of the chefs from Ramekins.
We are pleased to announce that our Person of the Year will be Lou Leal. Lou has been a docent at Jack London State Park for over 20 years. His duties include conducting tours, training docents and working on special events. Join us in honoring Lou for his commitment to "keeping the Jack London flame aglow."
Our keynote speaker for the evening will be Cecelia Tichi. Cecelia is the Gertrude Conaway Vanderbilt Professor of English and Professor of American Studies at Vanderbilt University. She was named the Andrew W. Mellon Fellow at the Huntington Library in 2012 and 2013. Ceceliaís presentation is titled "Jack London-The Second Century".
Cost for the banquet will be $60 for Foundation members and their guests; non-members are $80. To encourage young people into the world of Jack London, we offer a special price of $35 for high school students. Please invite a young friend or family member to join us!
Space is limited, so please make your reservations early. If you would like someone to share your table, please have them make reservations at the same time you make your reservation. Seating is reserved according to the date your check is received.
