The primary funding for the Jack London Foundation Writing Contest Awards is obtained via our annual auction. Our auction is always held on the third Saturday of each January. The date of our next auction will be Saturday, January 19, 2008! The location will be the Sonoma Community Center, 276 East Napa Street, Sonoma, California.

Our educational awards are presented annually to high school students participating in our Jack London Writing Contest. We solicit donations throughout the year so that we might have an interesting and successful auction, thus ensuring that we are able to continue our educational awards for deserving high school students. Items that have proven to be most acceptable are:

  • Jack London books and memorabilia

  • Rare books and periodicals

  • First edition books

  • Autographed books by contemporary authors

  • Letters written by important people

  • Collectable posters

  • Antiques

  • Gift certificates for services (hotels, restaurants, etc.)

  • Sports memorabilia

  • Anything else of value such as vehicles, property, etc.
